The Opera House is a unique place to hold your next performance, conference, meeting or wedding.

The beautiful Oamaru Opera House stands on Thames Street, an intact, heritage-listed nineteenth century streetscape.

For over a century the Opera House has represented the heart, soul and passions of Oamaru. It has been a hub for social, political and cultural activity and continues to evolve as a venue for performing arts, functions and conferences.

The building was officially opened on October 7, 1907 and remains largely in its original condition, having been restored in 2010, winning a NZIA Heritage award.

Our team have over 20 years experience in event planning & management. We work with small groups of 5 to large audiences of over 500, whether it be a small business meeting, or a rock concert, we have the staff on hand to help you get your next event up and running. Dunedin RSA Choir ANZAC Review

The Choir will be presenting their ANZAC review which attracts their largest audience of the year when they perform at the Dunedin Town Hall on ANZAC day.
The Oamaru Opera House is very proud to have the Dunedin RSA Choir perform the ANZAC review here, accompanied by local artists.

Red Leap Theatre enjoys crossing the forms of physical theatre/dance/imagery/puppetry/storytelling & song.

Henry is a writer and recluse. His heroine, Lumina, fights for her life in a papery world. When a woman moves in next door interrupting Henry's solitude, his story begins to take on a life of its own.

Pages fly, a woman is drowned, paper memories catch fire, love burns.

The Tommy Dorsey Orchestra was one of the greatest of the Big Bands from the 1940s and we are privileged to be presenting this all American Orchestra in a concert spectacular, featuring special guests from the USA - The Swing Sisters and Bryan Anthony, one of America's finest singers of the Frank Sinatra Songbook.
