The Addams Family
The Addams Family

The Addams Family presented by Musical Theatre Oamaru
Friday 11 September - Saturday 19 September.

The ADDAMS FAMILY features an original story, and it's every father's nightmare.
Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family. A man her parents have never met. And if that weren't upsetting enough, she confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother.
Now Gomez Addams must do something he's never done before - keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia.
Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday's "normal" boyfriend and his parents.

South Pacific
South Pacific

One of the world's most treasured musicals, SOUTH PACIFIC, will make a 24-venue tour of New Zealand in September and October.

Brought to you by the producer of Buddy - The Buddy Holly Story, Oklahoma! and The Pirates of Penzance, this beautiful musical will start its own epic journey in Kerikeri in the Far North and work its way to Invercargill in the Far South, transporting audiences to a Rodgers and Hammerstein war-time romance.

The 18-strong cast will star former Shortland Street actress Geraldine Brophy, much-loved baritone Tim Beveridge, Tizane McEvoy who starred as Maria Elena in Buddy and Bronwyn Turei, from Go Girls.

The original Broadway production enjoyed immense critical and box-office success, became the second-longest running Broadway musical to that point (behind Rodgers and Hammerstein's earlier Oklahoma!), and has remained popular ever since.

Several of its songs, including "Bali Ha'i", "I'm Gonna Wash That Man Right Outa My Hair", "Some Enchanted Evening", "There Is Nothing Like a Dame", "Happy Talk", "Younger Than Springtime" and "I'm in Love with a Wonderful Guy", have become popular standards.
